Do you have a sense of adventure?
Do you love the beautiful outdoors?
Think you have what it takes to turn your passion into a career?
Guiding positions are on an on-call basis. The Program Director will be in touch with guides throughout the year, and try to give as much notice as possible for guiding schedules. Trips are booked between the months of October until mid June. There will also be opportunities for guides to continue their guiding career further into the summer months and engage in the Company’s Road Scholar (formerly known as Elderhostel) tours.
Guides should have a passion for the outdoors, and some background working with children and adults in an outdoor setting is an asset. Company of Adventurers is also a great place to gain experience and skills. We will provide training for certain activities and encourage guides to become certified with qualifications that are becoming the standard amongst outdoor professionals.
- Post-secondary education in related field (or currently pursuing)
- Wilderness First Aid (minimum 20 hour; preferably 40 hour)
- IGA Interpretive Guides Association, (formerly MPHIA), Apprentice or Professional Interpreter, or Outdoor Council of Canada Leadership Level 1
- Police Background Check (provided by COA)
Company of Adventurers is always looking for talented, self-starting individuals with a passion for the outdoors. If you are this person, and you think you would make a great addition to our team, we want to hear from you.
